Take Me To A Place” is a sound immersion installation that asks users to describe any environment/location and instantly hear their voice as if speaking in that environment. Users can experience dynamic soundscaping and audio profiling based on active input provided by their voice and textual analysis of their prompt. This work also aims to expose underlying biases in the LLM’s analysis of sound environments: for instance, models trained mostly on Western urban soundscapes may have difficulty identifying or interpreting rural or indigenous acoustic environments.
